While boxing the ball off the goal line was terrible for the game, what options did Suarez have?
He knew it would be a red card, and he knew it would be a penalty for Ghana, but he took one for his team, and THAT I respect.
Naturally I believe Ghana should have gone through, but I understand why Suarez did what he did.

There was no alternative, and given that Uruguay had an absolutely clear penalty decision not given for them in the 1st half of extra time, I think his actions were somewhat legitimised.
It’s irrelevant however, as they’ll be going out in the semis anyway.
